DARRYL BLOOD was born and raised in Massachusetts. Growing up, he was influenced by the visuals from the Beatles' animated film, "Yellow Submarine", The Brother's Quay, Edward Gorey and Monty Python. He also pulls inspiration from Folk Art, Outsider Art, Pop Art, Modern Art, Children's Book Art, and Graffiti style. He graduated from the Art Institute of Boston, MA, with a BFA in Illustration/Animation, and packed his bags in 2002 for Los Angeles, where he now resides with his wife, Nicole, his son, Henry, and their two cats, Olive and Lucy.
